How did it get on her report?

Ellen wanted to apply for credit and decided it would be wise to order her credit report before doing so. She was shocked to find the word "disabled" on the report. Even though she was disabled, she didn't think that type of information was supposed to find its way onto credit reports. She's right. Ellen asked the local credit bureau how the information got there. They claimed a former employer had reported it, and that they simply record what others tell them. The local credit bureau is affiliated with TRW. We referred Ellen to someone within TRW to help her remove the "disabled" designation from the report. 02-290-96c
